Customer Background
The customer is an infrastructure monitoring company based in Thailand. They deploy underground pipeline pressure sensors across remote mountain areas.
Challenge
The sensors are buried underground with no grid power. The site is humid, with large temperature swings. Previously used batteries required replacement every 1–2 years. Sending technicians to remote mountains for battery replacement was extremely expensive and time-consuming.
Application Environment
Buried underground pipeline chambers, high humidity, wide temperature fluctuation, unattended operation for years, hard to access for maintenance.
Our Solution
They selected our 3.9V 6Ah Li-SOCl₂ primary battery with customized threaded terminal.
Customer Feedback & Result
After installing our batteries, the sensors run continuously. The ultra-low self-discharge design delivers stable voltage for long-term data collection and wireless transmission. The customer reduced field maintenance costs greatly. Now they use this cell as standard power source for all new pipeline monitoring projects.
